Queen Studios End of Year Review

After a year of intermittent lockdowns, 2021 wasn’t the complete return to normality that we all hoped for. Thankfully over the past 24 months Queen Studios, though impacted by these hard times, have tried their best to give you guys the collectibles you deserve, giving you something special for your collections.

Over the past 12 months the Queen Studios team have worked with some of the most jaw-dropping, pulse-pounding and downright awesome characters. And we would like to give you a quick recap of everything Queen Studios has achieved in 2021.

STARTING 2021 WITH SOME EXCITING PRE-ORDERS!

2021 has been a great year for the MCU universe, with great additions to their ever-expanding catalogue. QS though they’d take a deeper look into these character’s past and pull some idea from these character’s origins.

The Amazing Spider-Man Spider-Verse trio was QS’ first collectable of 2021, it includes some of our favourite Spider-people, Miles Morales, Peter Parker and Spider-Gwen. After some careful consideration and feedback, the team changed out the fan-labelled ‘Cheese-Whizz’ base for a more honest base, one that highlights the statue effortlessly.

Following the Amazing Spider-Man Spider-Verse trio, QS announced pre-orders for the highly anticipated Avengers: Endgame Thanos Life-size Bust. This limited-edition collectible half body Thanos bust by Queen Studios perfectly captures the Mad Titan as we saw him in Avengers: Endgame. It’s a real testament to the artistry of the QS team. ROGUES GALLAERY COLLECTOR Q&A EVENT

For the first event of 2021, the Queen Studios team decided they wanted to create a collector focussed event. To do this, the guys teamed up with Chris the Batman Statue Collector and his team, who have been making awesome content for a while. We announced some new products, licenses, talked about our giveaways and shipping schedule and most important, we answered questions from you guys. If you missed the Q&A, you can check it out below.

A FAN FAVOURITE SHIPPED

The Joker-Clown Mask was Queen Studios first, a wearable collectable! Queen Studios artists have carefully crafted this movie accurate 1:1 life-size prop-replica based on the “Bozo” mask worn by The Joker in Christopher Nolan’s 2008 The Dark Knight. And it was lucky enough to be one of the first collectables to be shipped in 2021. Not only was this collectable’s design and functionality accoladed by fans and critics, it’s affordability and respect to the original prop was also received well.

FESTIVAL REVEALS

Unfortunately, due to the pandemic. The Queen Studios Team were stuck in China for 2021. This meant they couldn’t attend international collectable festivals. Fortunately, Shanghai had us covered. Shanghai is the home to both Wonder Festival and China Joy. Wonder Festival took place on June 13-14 and China Joy took place on July 30-Aug 2.

Wonder Festival was a weekend to remember. The entire Queen Studios team was thrilled to make some magnificent announcements and releases. And the fans were keen to see what QS had to offer. It has been a sensational year for Queen Studios so far, we even revealed a LIFE-SIZE HULKBUSTER.

China Joy Expo is the most well-known digital entertainment Expo & Conference globally. It hosts a range of studios and industry specialists from a variety of modern artforms, including video games, animation, film, television and music. Queen Studios, as the rising star in the collectible industry, couldn’t pass up an opportunity to attend such a prestigious event.

FANS WEEK 2021

Queen Studios’ Fan Week is a week dedicated to appreciating you guys, the fans. The last two years have been tough, and the QS team thought it’s a good idea to celebrate this industry’s amazing fan culture by doing daily releases over a dedicated week, and giveaway a few goodies to some lucky fans.

USA LICENSING

One of the biggest announcements the QS team have made over the past twelve months is obtaining MCU USA liscensing. This is a very big step in the right direction for Queen Studios. Words cannot describe how happy the team is. Everyone is working around the clock to ensure that our collective dream of creating life-like collectables can become possible. We’d like to thank, the fans, the collectors, and our partners and team for making this achievement possible.

INTERVIEWS WITH THE QS TEAM

Following our USA licensing we thought we’d share three separate interviews with the founders of Queen Studios, Jason Zhong, Oliver Liu and Mok. All three shared their thoughts on their favourite projects and gave a glimpse into the workings and what goes on behind the scenes at Queen Studios.

END OF YEAR FINALE

To end 2021, the Queen Studios team made three final releases. Two Balrog Busts and a life-size 1/1 scale Iron Spider statue. These collectables highlight what a great year it has been for pop-movie culture. Whilst we’ve been in and out of lockdown, we’ve always had something to awe at, whether it’s your favourite DC/Marvel TV show or movie, or a hyper-realistic bust added to your collection.

2021 has certainly been a difficult year, but there have been many silver linings, here hoping 2022 will be a year to remember. Here’s a thank you to our team, our fan’s and our partners.
